This department is led by India’s prominent interventional cardiologist, Dr. Yusuf A. Kumble He has graduated from Calicut Medical College in 1991,
PG (MD medicine) from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli in 1995 and
Completed DNB Cardiology from Railway Hospital Chennai in 1999
DM Cardiology from India’s prestigious Institute, AIIMS, New Delhi in 2002.

He is also a fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC), Fellow of Society of Cardiovascular Angiogram & Intervention (SCAI) & Fellow of American Cardiology Society (FACC)

He started his carrier as Cardiologist from Railway Hospital, Chennai as DNB trainee in Cardiology from 1997-99. He is trained in DM Cardiology from AIIMS. He worked as a Cardiology consultant at Worckhardt Hospital, Bangalore. Later he became the HOD of Cardiology in KMC Hospital, Mangalure for 6 years till 2011. He is now the Chief Interventional Cardiologist and MD of Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute Ltd. He is also the founder chairman of Indiana Hospital & Heart institute.

He has performed more than 20,000 RADIAL procedures first time in Karnataka. He has also performed first LIVE RADIAL INTERVENTIONAL work shop in Karnataka in 2009 & 2013. His special interest in the field of cardiology is complex coronary interventions like multi vessel stenting, Left main stenting, bifurcation stenting. He is pioneer in radial intervention & implanted more than 5000 Stents. He also has vast experience in Pacemakers, ICD’s, Heart Failure device, Rotablation, IVUS and Venons Graft intervention etc.

He was an international faculty for TCT World International Cardiology Conference in Miami, USA and PCR Conference in Paris. He has given various presentations in SAARC – Cardiac meet, India Live, CSI and other National and State Conferences. He has also written for many National and International Publications
