The Huracan Sterrato is Automobili Lamborghini’s way of exploring new horizons with its unconventional concept, based on the V10 Huracan, the Sterrato draws on Lamborghini’s off-road expertise that is illustrated in the Urus Super SUV, creating a sense of ‘fun to drive off-road’ and, a change of technology to create a super sports car for challenging environments.
The model concept is based on the Huracan EVO including the same 5.2 liter naturally- aspirated engine producing 640hp. The Huracan EVO’s LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Vericolo Integrata) has predictive logic, and this system integration manages the four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, modified suspension and torque vectoring, and system has more calculated guess of the driver to ensure perfect driving dynamics. Adjusted for off-road driving which includes low-adherence surfaces, and tuned to provide optimum traction and acceleration, the LDVI system in the Sterrato provides advanced rear-wheel-drive behavior, producing more torque together with additional stabilization during oversteer.
The brand has already explored the potential of combining Lamborghini’s high performance and off-road capabilities with the Lamborghini Jarama and Urraco during the 1970s.Bob Wallace Lamborghini’s test driver had tuned the two models in order to create a desert-going high-performance sports car, The Jarama Rally from 1973 and the Urraco Rally from 1974.
