The College will conducts Gender Audit each year and it helps assess the perceptions of staff and students on gender related policies, regulations and its implementation. It also assists in creating awareness about gender equality and can lend support to the society’s efforts at gender parity. A team assigned with the task meet all staff and students and records the input through a questionnaire. The consolidated report is published on the college website too.
Green Audit assesses the environmental impact of the College to know the extent of harm or threat of harm it poses to the environment through its policies and practices. The formal process of Green Audit measures the energy and water consumption, waste generation and carbon emissions. It leads the College towards environment sustainable practices. Though the college is situated in a rural locale, the Audit still helps ensure that functioning of the College impacts the environment positively and develops the right practices among the students.
Academic audit is, according to NAAC, ‘a scientific and systematic method of reviewing the quality of academic process in the institution. It is related with the quality assurance and enhancing the quality of academic activities in Higher Education Institutions’. The Audit estimates and assesses the quality of the academic interactions, the teaching learning processes at the College. The individual faculty members as well as the whole of the Departments can use the opportunity to know their strengths and weaknesses, the areas in which they have to work on and the aspects in which they are strong. The committee constituted for the same which includes the Dept heads, IQAC Coordinator and the Principal, runs the internal audit while a team of reputed External academicians will conduct the annual Academic Audit.
Energy Audit takes stock of the electricity consumption pattern of the College and checks whether the energy is spent judiciously or it is wasted. It checks the distribution of the power, the appliances used, the quantum of its consumption and explores ways in which this could be minimized, reducing the carbon footprint. The Audit also aims at educating the youth about the need to move towards sustainable energy production and consumption practices.
