Edappal Hospitals was founded by Dr K.K. Gopinathan in 1986. But, it was not until 1990 that the institution was formally erected. Dr Gopinathan a well-known gynaecologist and obstetrician wish to serve the community more by providing better healthcare. The dream was to have a world-class facility in a location that can be accessed by many. Edappal- a common town and meeting point for the people from Malappuram, Thrissur and Palakkad was the ideal location. Edappal Hospital in the minds, of Dr Gopinathan and his friends, was born then. In brick and mortar existence this multi-speciality hospital has transformed into a service enterprise that stands shoulder to shoulder with premium metropolitan hospitals in the state.
With 288 beds, close to 30 specialised departments, the service of finest doctors in full time and consultant capacities, and highly experienced medical and non-medical staff Edappal Hospitals has changed the image of healthcare in the region. The hospital has been awarded the distinguished NABH accreditation in 2018. With new departments, the latest medical equipment, finest lab facilities, precision test results, and advanced treatment methodologies inducted, Edappal Hospitals is turning a new leaf in affordable yet exceptional healthcare service.
