r. Vinay Varghese Thomas did his MBBS degree from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab, one of the most prestigious institutions of North India. He also completed his Diploma in Medical Radio-diagnosis (DMRD) from the same college in 2009 and continued working as Senior Resident for two years. He also did two weeks observer ship in Non-vascular interventional procedures in Christian Medical College, Vellore in year 2011. He joined Institute of Radiology and Imaging Sciences (IRIS), Kochi in 2011 as Consultant Radiologist, working with High end Ultrasound (including 3D/4D imaging), 64 slice MDCT scanner as well as 3T MRI Scanner. He has attended various national and state radiology conferences. He has poster presentations to his credit in National IRIA conference. He has a few international publications in journals. He has also worked in a few major hospitals and imaging centres in and around Kochi, Kerala. He has been working as Radiologist in Polakulath Narayanan Renai Medicity, Palarivattom since 2013. His areas of special interest are in Foetal imaging, especially in Doppler imaging (early detection of Foetal growth restriction, reduce prenatal hypoxia and reduce neonatal morbidity) and Non- vascular interventions (TRUS Biopsy etc). He is a Life member of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association & Indian Medical Association.
