Controlling the infections in the operation theatres, ICU’s as well as other areas of the hospital is indeed a big challenge to the healthcare industry. Renai Medicity takes the control of infection very seriously and every attempt is made to ensure a clean and safe environment.

While we see the prevention and control of infection as everyone’s responsibility, we also have a dedicated team comprised of infection control nurses, microbiologists and other specialists. The special team audits to check that we comply with our strict infection control standards and also provide expert advice and guidance to staff, patients and visitors.

Special instructions on the maintenance of the theatres to keep the theatre areas highly sterile are followed with checks and rechecks on the work. In the time of high rates of infections through mutant microbes, such conditions are doubly checked by the team.

As hand hygiene plays one of the most important roles in controlling infections, we encourage our patients and visitors to wash their hands in regular intervals as well as use waterless hand gels. We also ensure that all our staff are complying with our hygiene codes and washing their hands or using gel between patients.

We request our visitors not to come into the hospital if they are ill. If you see any areas like your room, toilets or public area that have not been cleaned properly, please tell a member of our staff immediately.
