Dr. Aswin Krishnan Ajit

Sr. Specialist - Psychological Medicine

Dr. Aswin Krishnan Ajit did his MBBS from the International College promoted by Manipal Group, Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara. He completed his course with several honours in 2009 and later on went to do an observership in Neurology at Detroit Medical Centre, Michigan, USA. He specialised in Psychiatry from the Government Medical College, Kottayam in 2013 and subsequently did 1 year Senior Residency at Government T D Medical College, Alappuzha. Currently he is an Assistant professor in Psychiatry as teaching is his passion. He has made several scientific presentations at the state and national level and also in international conferences. He is a member of various professional organisations like Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry, Ernakulum Psychiatric Society, Central Travancore Psychiatric Society besides the Indian Medical Association. His areas of interests are adolescent mental health, geriatric psychiatry, consultation liaison psychiatry, de-addiction and sexual dysfunction. He also practices cognitive behaviour therapy for Anxiety Disorders.
