Dr. Berny Jose is one of the well known and trusted dermatologists in Kochi. Having done thousands of interventional dermatology procedures, Dr. Berny’s special interests include cosmetic dermatology and medical correlation of dermatological diseases. She graduated from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, underwent Post Graduate training from the same institute in 2009. Following that she worked in some of the major hospitals in Bangalore (Sri Sai Ram hospital and Rajashekhar hospital, Bangalore). She has done an observership in Dermatology from PGI Chandigarh and a laser fellowship in Bangalore from National Skin Hair Institute. In Kochi, she has worked as consultant dermatologist at Indira Gandhi hospital and Specialist’s hospital for 6 years and is currently Consultant dermatologist at Renai Medicity hospital, Kochi from 2017 January. She presented papers at the national dermatology conferences in Chandigarh and Bangalore and attended various National and state level conferences. Presented a paper titled ‘Eczema herpeticum’ at ISPD 2007 at Thrissur. Presented poster titled ‘Pemphigus vulgaris in pregnancy’ at National conference DERMACON 2008 at Chandigarh. Presented paper titled ‘Livedoid reticularis responding to dapsone’ at CUTICON KT 2008 at Mangalore. Presented paper titled: ‘Safety and Efficacy of 30% – 40% glycolic acid on Indian patients’ at DERMACON 2009. She is proficient in LASER treatment in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Berny is a member of IADVL, CDS and was part of the organising committee for the National Dermacon in Kochi.
