Dr. Sakeer did MBBS from Calicut Medical College and MD (Paediatrics) from Madras Medical College. He obtained MRCPCH from Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, UK. He worked in a very busy neonatology department in Farwania hospital, Ministry of Health, Kuwait. He did fellowship in Neonatology from University of Calgary, Canada. He was certified as subspecialist Affiliate in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine by Royal College of Physician and surgeons of Canada. He was trained in basic Echocardiography and head ultrasound scans. He has excellent clinical experience in managing sick babies and developmental follow up of preterm and high risk newborns. He had several international platform presentations and publications to his credit. His research interest includes pulmonary hypertension in chronic lung disease and fish oil lipids in the prevention of retinopathy of prematurity. He is a life member of IAP, IMA, National Neonatology Forum and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK.
