Consultant - Urology & Andrology (Head - Unit 1)

Dr. Sandeep Prabhakaran is an energetic and dynamic Urologist who is currently leading our department of Urology & Renal Transplantation. After graduating from Government Medical College, Thrissur, he pursued his post graduation in General surgery from prestigious PGI Chandigarh. In his continued quest to learn, he also did his MCh in Urology and Renal Transplantation from another premiere institute of the country, SGPGI Lucknow. He is the first surgeon to introduce Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate (HoLEP) in Kerala and has to his credit the maximum number of successful HoLEP surgeries in the state. Dr. Sandeep is also an expert in Key Hole surgeries. His specific interests are in the fields of laparoscopic urology, paediatric laparoscopic urology, endo-urology, andrology and renal transplantation. His expertise and personalised care has placed our department in the forefront of excellence.
