Dr. Sapna Joy completed MBBS from Govt Medical College, Kottayam MD Microbiology from Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute, Thrissur Secured First Rank in MD Microbiology conducted by KUHS. She is trained in Infectious Diseases and Hospital Infection Control. She has participated in the National Infection Control Workshop (JIPMER, Pondicherry), GAPP-ICP Certificate course on Good antibiotic prescription practices and Infection Control certification programme (Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi). Special areas of interest include multidrug resistant (MDR) Gram negative bacteria. Has conducted studies and presented papers on MDR Gram negative bacteria. She has experience in internal audit; Quality management system certificate required for NABL audit.
