Dr. Sooraj Y. S completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine following which he completed DNB Nephrology from Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, Madurai. He has worked in reputed hospitals in Kochi as Consultant in Nephrology and Renal Transplantation. Dr. Sooraj has numerous publications to his credit and has been part of many path breaking publications in Interventional Nephrology in India. He has been instrumental in pioneering minimal invasive renal biopsies and radiology assisted vascular access interventions in Kerala. He has also been associated with more than 500 renal transplantations and is also certified in CAPD. He also takes care of the toxicology services of Renai Medicity. Dr. Sooraj has been instrumental in increasing the awareness regarding kidney diseases among the public and has conducted several awareness camps for them. His special interests include Critical Care Nephrology and Renal Transplantation.
